The purpose of the pre-school is to show the children in our care that
learning can be fun through play. We aim to maintain a high standard of
creativity as education helping each child to reach their full potential
whilst enhancing their natural ability. The staff in the pre-school are
always looking to improve the working environment.
We have had an excellent Ofsted inspection in December 2003 with no
action plan to follow, and after a lot of very hard work we achieved our
Accreditation with the pre-school Learning alliance on May 18th 2004.
‘Accreditation helps the pre-school to further improve the quality of
education and care offered to children under 5 years old. It increases
our status and ensures that we receive proper recognition from parents,
the local community and local authority for the high standard achieved’,
(Aiming for Quality Accreditation scheme).
We are registered for up 26 children per morning, openings are from 9:00
till 12noon daily in the term times.
The age range is from 2 ½ years to 5years old.
The 2 ½ year olds can come to pre-school on a Thursday with
parents/carer who are responsible for them at all times. The 6months
before reaching their 3rd birthday is a good time for them to get
settled in and get used to a new environment, new people and
socializing.
